The welding has begun

Well, the shell has dozens of holes that have been drilled. These holes were to mount items on the interior of the car. I am going to remove most of the bolts that penetrate the shell to try and tighten it up.

These holes/bolts were the reason that the car was rotting from the inside. Water had gotten in through the bolt holes and has caused the floor to rot away.

 

This corner seems to be the worse.

 

These are the "backers" so I can fill the holes from the outside.

yes, those are some of the holes that I am filling.

 

Yes, there are plenty of these holes on the ceiling.

 

As I patch them, I am priming them. This is only temporary until I start the sand blasting of the exterior and the painting.

This will likely be next year.
